4/29/21 - This is a nice Pre-WW2 Walther LP 34 Flare Pistol with an interesting history. It was manufactured in 1939, and from the looks of it, may have been originally sold in the commercial market. There are waffen proofs throughout, indicating it was issued to the Nazi military at some point. It also has "Crown B U and S" proofs on the frame and barrel. From research, these are post-war East German proofs, so it likely ended up there after the war. All serial numbers match. It has retained roughly 65% of its greenish anodized finish. There are areas of scratchy wear throughout. Noticeable wear around the muzzle, high edges in general, and thinning on the straps. There is an area of wear on the left side of the frame where there is a series of numbers lightly scratched into the metal. The same numbers are scratched onto the underside of the barrel. Some splotchy discoloration on the left side of the frame. Comes with excellent bakelite grips. The bore is shiny with some very light scratching throughout.
