9/6/19 - This is an honest example of an all matching and original Mauser K98 that was issued to the German Army in 1937. Receiver is coded S/42 and dated to 1937. All matching numbers, including full bolt assembly, trigger assembly, stock, buttplate, barrel bands, receiver and even the screws. The finish shows honest thinning on all metal surfaces but no corrosion. The stock is in good condition with standard dings and nicks, as well as a couple chips along the top (behind the bolt). The stock has several waffenamts, though it appears that a previous owner attempt to highlight them with varnish. This should clean right up, but we didn't have any varnish remover at the office. Original sling and cleaning rod. Bore is shiny with strong rifling.
