10/5/21 - This is an excellent example of a first-variation AC 42 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout, even on the small parts. This one is unique because the proofs on the right side of the slide are out of their typical order. The gun is excellent condition, retaining about 97% of its high polish finish. There is just a hint of wear on the front strap and on some of the high edges. Some very light scratches/handling marks on the right side of the slide. Comes with excellent brownish bakelite grips and a period-correct Walther magazine. The mag is numbered but mismatched. It also has a factory double-stamped "P.38" on the tube. The bore is near-mint. De-cocker is functional.
