9/29/21 - This is a minty example of a Smith & Wesson Victory revolver that was part of the British/Australian Lend-Lease Program during WW2. It was issued to the British or Australian military in 1942. It ended up at the Lithgow arsenal in Australia in 1955 where it was reworked. It is all matching, marked "United States Property", and has a US military flaming bomb proof on the base of the frame. There is an import mark on the left side of the frame and an "FTR MA 55" marking on the right side of the frame, which indicates the rework at the Lithgow arsenal. It comes with an excellent canvas holster an original cleaning rod. The gun has retained about 98% of its parkerized finish. There is very minor wear around the muzzle, a few very light scuffs on the barrel, and a very light roll mark on the cylinder. The cylinder is tight and the action is smooth. The bore is shiny with strong rifling with minor freckling here and there.
