5/14/20 - This is an original 1944 production K98 bayonet with the original scabbard. The bayonet is in good condition overall with some wear / patina throughout. The handle shows beginning signs of rust within the metal areas. Properly waffen proof stamped. The blade has a faint waffen proof under the "44asw" maker stamp. Excellent bluing throughout the blade with some light finish loss towards the tip. The other side of the blade is serial numbered "2613b". This matches the number on the scabbard, which also has the same "44asw" stamp. The scabbard has no dents, but there is light discoloration and finish loss throughout.
