3/24/23 - This is an excellent example of the rare Swedish M41/B sniper rifle as made by Carl Gustafs. There were only 2-3k of these ever produced with the German-style side rail mount and AJACK 4x90 scope, and this is the first we have offered. In 1940, the Swedish military realized it had a need for scoped sniper rifles but had none of the production in place, so they ordered the AJACK scopes and short rail type mounts from the Germans before the Germans realized they needed them all for their own military. They were built on existing Swedish rifles that had already previously shown particularly good accuracy, and in 1955, Sweden upgraded all of the rifles to feature the same characteristics (numbered mounts, AJACK scopes only, and peened screws). This earned the designation M41/B, and they were used all the way up until 1991. This one has matching numbers throughout, and is in terrific condition. Excellent bluing on the metal parts and a minty bore. The stock disc is intact, and the wood shows only minor handling wear. The scope reticle is clear but there are some flecks on the glass on the rear end. Comes with a cleaning rod.
