3/17/23 -This is a rare Nazi MP 44 modified to semi-automatic after the war. This gun was built from an original receiver that was single saw cut per ATF instructions to restrict full-auto use. It has WW2 parts but mismatched numbers throughout. The finish is very good looking overall, but there is cold blue on much of the receiver. Terrific, shiny bore. Magazine is 'qlv' maker marked. Receiver is proofed 'cos' and has several waffenamts, including a Sauer E/37 proof. The wooden buttstock is unmarked and appears to have been made postwar. The grip screw appears to have been replaced at some point as it is slightly too long so can be felt when gripping the rifle, but should be simple to replace.
