6/15/17 - This is a rare Mauser K Date luger, with original matching magazine. It is a transitional piece from subvariation 3 to 4, as the pistol has the gothic 'S' in S/42 code, and few small parts received 'S' inspection stamps. This pistol is on Jan Still's list of all-correct K Date's, and falls near the end of the subvariation 3 range, of which only an estimated 3,850 were produced. The original finish is tough to rate exactly, as much of the pistol has patina showing through, but it is in overall good condition. The grips and magazine are the factory originals, with matching serial numbers to the pistol. The left grip panel does have a small chip under the safety, which is a common occurrence. Bore is minty.
