10/7/20 - This is a rare find, a .22 Caliber Walther PP issued as a prize to the winner of a Nazi SA shooting competition in 1937. The slide reads, "Ehrenpreis der Fa. Carl Walther Waffenfabrik, Zella Mehlis zum Reichspistolenschiessen der SA 1937". A particularly unique feature of this gun is the brass front sight. The gun is all matching and has "Crown N" proofs. It has retained about 85% of its original bluing. There is minor muzzle wear, but most of the finish loss is spotty wear along the peak of both sides of the slide and a significant area of wear on the right side of the slide. There are some small handling marks on the straps. It comes with excellent Walther grips and a black finger extension .22 caliber magazine. The bore is minty.
