6/8/21 - This is a nice example of a Mauser Model 1914 rig that was initially sold in the commercial market in the 1910's. It was then reworked and issued to the German police force. This is evidenced the "1920" rework stamp on the left side of the slide, the police unit marking on the front strap, and a matching holster with the same police unit marking. The gun also comes with two period-correct magazines. It is all matching and has retained roughly 70-75% of its finish. Most of the wear is thinning on the whole slide, where there is also light brown patina. Comes with a slightly worn wood grip. Excellent bore - shiny with strong rifling.
