5/14/18 - This listing is for a grouping of items which all belonged to Capt. Paul Lawrence Petty, US Cavalry. It includes his (most likely) private purchase government Colt, made in 1917. From what I can tell this was his sidearm through both wars. There is paperwork and one photo documenting his service. He was a Lt. in WW1 and rose to Captain by the end of WW2. The grouping include his 1911 Colt with all original finish at about 85% condition. It has a very nice profile but thin straps, especially the front. Excellent bore and mechanics. Original grips and magazine. His name and US Calvary was most likely added to the slide post war, and may have been done upon his retirement from the US Army. Includes his Stetson hat, which is in excellent condition with his name inside the leather rim. Also, his belt, duffle bag, documents, holster and ammo pouches.
