9/6/22 - This is an interesting Colt New Service revolver with a rich history, and comes with a Colt archive letter. Made in 1916, this revolver was shipped in .455c to the London Armoury Company in London, England on November 22, 1916. The London Armoury Company was a London arms manufactory that imported arms from America during WW1. So this revolver was issued for British military use, but later sold/exported back to the states as it is marked 'NOT ENGLISH MAKE'. It also has United States Property marked on the barrel, indicating the barrel was likely changed out along with the cylinder to change this revolver to .45c. The cylinder arm is mismatched to the frame. Nice finish throughout, with most of the wear on the left side of the frame. Terrific bore. Excellent, original Colt grips made of hard rubber with no cracks or chips, just minor smoothing. Mechanics seem good.
