6/23/20 - This is an incredible find, and the only such example we've ever encountered. This is a mint Walther P.38 that was manufactured in 1969, and is still accompanied by the original matching box and test target, as well as manual and spare magazine. But more importantly, the pistol is accompanied by a firearms registration card that indicates this pistol was registered by a serviceman stationed at Gitmo Bay in Cuba. The card says it was registered in 1974 and has the serial of the pistol on it, as well as the name Joel E. Everhart. The gun shows no wear or use, has '69 date on frame and Interarms mark on slide. It also comes with the original application and permit for importation of firearms. Could be a while before you see another one quite like this.
