11/15/19 - This is an excellent example of an original 1942 Mauser byf 42 P.38. The original Dust Blue finish rates about 96% . Most of the finish loss is thinning on the front strap and around the muzzle. It has correct, and all matching parts including the barrel and locking block. No import marks. It also has correct wartime grips in excellent condition. It comes with a period-correct magazine. The magazine has faint Waffen 135 proofs on the spine. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling. The gun is mechanically sound and the decocker works properly.
