5/21/21 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1878 Hammer shotgun made in 1881. The gun is all matching and fully functional. Overall, the gun is in nice condition. It has retained much of its original case hardening on the inside of the foregrip and receiver. The case hardening is worn on the outside of the receiver. Much of the damascus pattern on the barrels is still in tact but slightly worn. There is dark brown patina throughout and small areas of minor pitting here and there. Excellent hand-checkered stock with minor dings here and there. Excellent, shiny bores. 30" barrels. Full choke. 14.25" LOP.
