11/23/22 - This is an excellent example of a Springfield M1 Garand issued to the US military during WW2. The receiver dates to about December of 1943 - January of 1944.. The barrel is Springfield marked and dated January of 1944. The stock is "P" proofed and has the proper Springfield acceptance stamp on the left side (marking is faint). Overall, the gun is in excellent condition. Very minor muzzle wear and hints of wear on the high edges of the receiver. Very minor thinning along the barrel and on the trigger group. Some light brown patina visible under the finish on the receiver. There is no major damage to the stock, just tiny dings and bruises throughout. The bore is near-mint. Throat reading: 2. Muzzle reading: 2. Comes with a green canvas sling.
