5/3/22 - This is a very nice example of a Remington Sportsman 12 GA Riot Gun issued to the US military in 1942. These guns are rarer than their Model 11 counterparts, have only a 3-shell magazine capacity, and were mostly used for military training. This one is all matching and has the proper "US" property marks and flaming bomb proofs. The stock has the proper cross-canon military cartouche and "FJA" Frank Atwood inspection stamp on the stock. Overall, the gun is in nice condition. There isn't a ton of actual finish loss, but there are tiny dots of oxidation on most of the receiver and some areas of pitting around the muzzle. Some very light scratches here and there. The stock is nice, but there is a noticeable repaired crack in the foregrip and a small chip in the underside of the wrist. The bore is excellent and shiny.
