SOLD - 1935/06 Mauser Banner Portuguese "GNR" Luger Rig

9/28/17 - This is a rare 1935/06 Mauser Banner Portuguese "Guarda Nacional Republicana" (Republic National Guard) luger rig made in 1935. With a 120mm (4 3/4") Barrel chambered for the 7.65mm. This one is in very good condition with about 92% of its original finish.  There is finish loss on all the high edges (muzzle, side plate, trigger guard, rails).  All parts are matching and correct.  Crown/U proofed.  Lower safety position is marked "Seguranca" and extractor is marked "Carregada".  These lugers were unheard of in the collector market with only 564 produced, until many years ago when a large group was purchased from the Government of Portugal and imported into the United States. This is a well documented series of exactly 564 guns from 1921v through 2484v, meaning the luger listed here is the 17th ever produced! his model has the 1906 old style frame with grip safety, no stock lug and fast taper barrel. These were made specifically for the Portuguese "Republican National Guard" consequently the top of the chamber area is marked "GNR" for Guarde, Nationale Republicanie.  This one includes a correct holster and brass cleaning rod.  The rod comes with an oiler for grease application to the moving parts and the holster is unit marked.   Excellent bore.
