3/20/17 - This is a US Army, WW2 issued, original Colt. The serial number places it to a 1943 manufacture date. The original parkarized finish is excellent and covers about 98% of the gun. The slide has that correct "two tone" color to it with a visible line about an inch from the muzzle demonstrating an original finish. Most wear is either minor holster wear or rub marks from the slide being moved. The slide legend has the Rampart Colt in the middle of the logo. The slide is unnumbered. Small parts appear to be all correct for the gun - it was not reworked or arsenal refurbished. The barrel is correct for the gun as well and marked Colt - 45 Auto. The bore is strong but with frosting especially in the groves. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 6. Correct wartime plastic grips. Also correct wartime magazine as the base is marked with an L.
