1/20/22 - This is a very nice example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The gun is completely matching, but the Imperial mum stamp on the receiver has been ground off. There is an original canvas tag on the rear barrel band that has Kanji writing on it. Overall, the gun is in very nice condition. There is very little actual finish loss, but there is spotty oxidation and light surface rust on the barrel, front barrel band, cleaning rod, and underside of the rear barrel band. Some minor thinning on the floor plate and trigger guard. Dark brown patina on the butt plate. The stock is nice, but there are dings, dents, and scratches throughout (typical for these guns). The bore is stone-mint.
