10/26/21 - This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 99 issued to the Japanese military late during WW2. It is all matching and has a ground mum stamp on the receiver (still partially visible). It has all the proper late-war features such as the rough machining marks, crude bolt handle, peep rear sight, crude cocking knob, and wood butt plate. It has retained most of its late-war finish with some spotty wear around the muzzle and on the front barrel band. Some high edge wear on the floor plate and trigger guard. There are some areas of very light surface rust on and around the trigger guard. The stock is very nice, but there are small dings, dents, and scratches throughout. The bore is mint.
