9/8/21 - This is a nice example of a Walther Mod HP sold in the commercial market around 1940. It is all matching and has the proper commercial "Eagle N" proofs. It has retained roughly 90% of its bluing. Most of the wear is on the front strap and underside of the trigger guard, where there is also spotty oxidation. There is very minor wear around the muzzle and high edges of the slide. Some minor scratchy wear and areas of minor pitting on the right side of the slide. Comes with excellent grips and a period-correct jvd magazine. The bore has strong rifling with minor freckling throughout. De-cocker is functional. The slide does not lock back with this magazine.
