9/1/21 - This is an excellent example of a rare Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi police force in 1943. It is all matching and has a police "Eagle L" marking on the right side of the slide. This variation is rare as only about 900 first variations were issued, and only ~1,500 with 'byf 43' slide legend. This one comes with excellent grips and a proper magazine. It has retained about 96% of its original finish. There is minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Some pin-pricking and minor oxidation on the front edges of the slide. The bore is shiny with strong rifling and some areas of minor freckling. De-cocker is functional.
