7/27/21 - This is a minty example of a Mauser Model 1914 sold in the commercial market in the 1920's. The gun is all matching and has the proper commercial "Crown U" proofs. There is a "Germany" export proof on the right side of the frame, indicating it was intended for international sale. It is in beautiful condition, retaining about 98% of its original finish. The fire blue on the trigger is excellent. There is very minor somewhat scratchy wear and tiny pin-pricking on the front strap. Very minor wear at the front edges of the slide and around the muzzle. A few tiny dots of oxidation here and there. Comes with an excellent grip and a period-correct magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling and very minor freckling in the grooves.
