8/1/19 - This is an original BNZ 44 Steyr K98 made during WW2 with mismatched parts. The floorplate and barrel bands match each other, but none of the other parts. The bolt is also mismatched to the receiver. The parts are all WW2 original however, and in good condition. There's some bluing loss on the metal as well as a few small areas of browning patina, but no excessive wear such as rust or pitting. Comes with an original cleaning rod and a leather strap. The strap looks aged but is not German, as the interior is numbered 2804 - 0252. The wood stock has a very faint waffen eagle stamped on the right side, but there are no other visible markings. Most likely due to sanding. Smooth action and an excellent, near mint bore shows minimal signs of use. Note that the cleaning rod doesn't screw into place in the rifle, but does stay attached.
