8/6/19 - This is an original Remington model 1903 rifle made during WW2. The barrel and serial number both indicate 1942 production. The rifle appears to be all original except for the stock. The stock doesn't have hand grooves, and there's no visible sign of a cartouche or inspector stamp. LIkely this is a replacement stock. The metal is excellent though, and appears all original. There's some light thinning of the finish in a few small areas, as well as light finish loss on the muzzle end of the barrel / front sight. The bore is very nice with strong rifling, and some minor signs of use, 8/10 overall. Comes with a leather strap that appears period correct, but there's no stamps or markings on the leather. There's light mold throughout the leather as shown in photos.
