1/20/23 - This is a rare and nice condition example of the Everitt Knuckle knife & sheath from WW2. These fighting knives were used by US soldiers during WWII as a trench knife in the Pacific theater, but information and research on these is limited. The origin of the maker, EVERITT is still unknown. The handles were finished with either black or green enamel paint, and this example is obviously green. The handle has a small dent on one side and some mild wear on the top of the handle. The blade has most of the original blued finish still intact, as shown. We've seen other examples with painted blades, but this one is a more desirable blued blade. The tip of the blade has a very minor chip, but the rest of the edges look unsharpened and in great shape. Comes with a leather m6 style scabbard that has no markings or stamps.
