11/15/23 - This is a scarce, late Inland M1 Carbine with 'hand stamp' receiver marking. A full parts list is included in the photos of this listing, but this rifle has all Inland parts throughout. The receivers were stamped with the "M" but a space was left for a '1' or '2' depending on need. Serial dates the gun to early 1945. The late barrel band and adjustable rear sight are correct for a late Inland from this serial range. The stock and handguard are also Inland-made but it's a high-wood example, and this serial range should likely have a low wood stock. The finish on the rifle is original with minor thinning in a few areas but no major areas of wear. Excellent, shiny bore. The stock shows handling wear but no cracks.
