5/25/23 - This is an all matching and original example of an Erfurt Kar 98 rifle from 1915. These are becoming increasingly difficult to find in said condition. Matching numbers throughout, including the stock, buttplate, trigger group, bolt, rear sight, receiver, bands, barrel, front sight and even the screws. The finish is original throughout but shows fairly heavy patina in most areas. The stock shows various dings, nicks and scratches but no structural issues. Bore has strong rifling but is very dirty and needs a thorough cleaning. We believe it would improve considerably with a cleaning, but there is also frost throughout.
