2/13/20 - This is an original and fully transferable H&R Reising M50 submachine gun with desirable phosphate finish. The Reising M-50 was notably issued to Marines in the Pacific Theater during WWII as an alternative to the Thompson sub-machine gun which was in short supply.  Although not well received by the Marines, these guns were also supplied to various police departments and utilized for decades after WWII. They have gained in popularity over the years with recreational shooting enthusiasts as a well made, relatively inexpensive entry level machine gun which utilizes readily available ammunition. This particular example shows minimal finish loss overall, with a few scuffs and a couple spots of paint on the muzzle/compensator. The parkerized finish likely indicates that this is military example, as commercial models were typically blued. Military models also typically have a three hole trigger guard and markings such as PM2 over the chamber, which this rifle does. Terrific stock is without defect. Strong, shiny bore. NOTE: The rifle is photoed without magazine but does include an original magazine.
