4/12/17 - This is a byf 44 P.38 produced by Mauser, with dual-tone finish (phosphate frame & slide, blued barrel). At first glance, the pistol seems fairly worn. But, the light gray finish is so uniform and even on the slide and frame that I think it's possible this is close to how the pistol left the factory. The color is so even, with so few spots of discoloration, that I think it simply has remained in excellent original condition. The barrel is also in excellent shape, with very little bluing loss. Excellent grips offer a nice additional contrast to the colors on this pistol. Magazine is P.38v marked with no proofs on spine. Bore is excellent.
