7/31/25 - For sale is a Model 1831 Percussion Cap rifle made at the Potzdam Armory in Germany. The rifle was likely sent to the Union Army during the American Civil War. The metal has many spots of surface oxidation and patina throughout. The lockplate looks to have a word written but only "Nap" is visible and the rest is worn away. There is a crater from corrosion in front of the nipple. The stock is in overall but theres some small cracks. Theres one in front of the lock plate and one on the left side behind the front barrel band about 2.5" in length. The bore is in fair condition. There is "OHIO" scratched in to the lft side of the stock and on top of the wrist. "DxHxS" is scratched into the brass plate on the left side.
