1/4/21 - This is a nice example of an early "Zero Series" Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1940. This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" Nazi military proofs. The locking block is matching but looks like it may have been re-numbered (see photo). It has retained roughly 75% of its original bluing. There is spotty wear around the muzzle and on the sides and top of the slide. There is thinning and patina on the front strap. Also some wear on the underside of the frame and trigger guard. Areas of spotty oxidation here and there. It comes with nice un-numbered correct grips and an original matching magazine. The grips don't quite fit perfectly, so there is a gap in the spine. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout. De-cocker is fully functional.
