3/6/17 - This is a WWI era Colt 1911, produced in the latter half of 1918. At this time, the finishing process at the Colt factory changed during some attempts to speed the process, which resulted in a more crude, dark and rough finish to these pistols. The finish on this one rates at 80-85%, with a nice slide but little finish on the straps. It has correct inspection proofs and an HP marked barrel. The bore is decent, with nice rifling but is frosted throughout. Comes with a WWI era holster, with some markings I could not make out nor identify, but have included a photo of.
