4/19/17 - This is a new one for Legacy - a 1st variation AC 41 with MIXED proofs. Never seen one before but will check with but will check with experts to see if this has ever been encountered before. The finish looks to be all original, however, the polish finish has dulled to a brownish patina. This makes it difficult to give this pistol a rating by finish percentage, as there isn't much actual wear/finish loss. All of the small parts are appropriately Eagle 359 proofed including the grips. The grips are also numbered to the gun. It has the AC on the trigger guard and the barrel. It also has the early experimental "horseshoe sear" under the grip. All correct early features - EXCEPT the WAFFEN 359 proof on the right side of slide. I did find another one like this on Mark Castel's website. It is in the 7xxxa serial range and pictured on his site. He states that these are extremely rare. As stated, this is the first Legacy has ever encountered. Only the magazine is not original to the gun. It is Walther proofed, but not numbered, so it would have been made a little later than the gun. The bore is cloudy, but not pitted. I would rate it a 6 out of 10.
