11/27/24 - For sale is a Turkish Mauser model 1898/37 rifle chambered in 8x57 Mauser. These rifles were Gewehr 98s that were in Turkish inventory and updated to tangent sights starting in 1937. The receiver had been scrubbed of its original markings and stamped with Ankara markings. The rifle is in great condition overall with a dark finish to the metal. The rifle is bolt mismatched. The stock has some arsenal repair marks but is free of any active cracks or breaks. The bore is fairly bright with great rifling. There is an import mark on the right side of the barrel.
