9/24/20 - This is a Springfield Krag Model 1894 that was nickel-plated and prepared for parade use. From the serial number, we believe it was manufactured in 1896. The majority of the nickel finish is in tact, but there are small dings and surface scratches throughout. There are areas of spotty oxidation throughout as well. The butt plate is covered in patina. The stock is excellent but has no markings. It was likely replaced or at least heavily sanded. The bore has some rifling left but there is heavy pitting throughout. The gun appears to function properly.
