4/16/19 - This is a nice example of a US Army Smith & Wesson M1917 from the end of the Great War. The revolver is all original and correct with about 90% bluing. The profile view is excellent but the grip frame is thin throughout. The trigger and hammer still show nice, original case hardening. Barrel is marked UNITED STATES PROPERTY on the underside. Excellent bore. The grips are beautiful and appear original to the gun, as the right panel is hand numbered and matching to the revolver. Great timing/action.
