1/2/25 - This is a rare and incredible offering - an original Singer 1911A1 from 1941! Known as the Holy Grail for 1911 and U.S. Military pistol collectors, there were only 500 ever produced and it's estimated that 125-150 examples remain. It is formerly from the collection Karl Karash, a well-known Colt collector who authored several collector guides, and also comes with a full inspection report. All parts are produced by Singer, except for the magazine, which is manufactured by Risdon. The full inspection report is shown in the photos of this listing. The frame, slide, barrel, grips and all small parts are original Singer manufacture. The bluing rates at 85-90%, with the most notable area of wear and patina on the front strap. The bore is generally shiny with minor frost and freckling in the grooves, we would rate it a 7 or 8 out of 10. Correct parts include the Keyes fibre grips with no rings, the Singer half-moon front sight and U-notch rear sight, recoil spring, guide and assembly, with all checkered parts have the correct Singer checkering.
