2/22/21 - This is a Siamese Mauser Type 46/66 Rifle, chambered in 8x52mm. It was made for the Siamese military at the Tokyo Arsenal. It was originally a Type 46 rifle, chambered in 8x50mm that was later converted to a more convenient 8x52mm Spitzer cartridge. You can tell because the characters on the adjustable rear sight have been partially ground when the sight was modified. The gun comes with an original dust cover and matching bayonet. The metal parts are minty, retaining virtually all of their finish except for minor wear around the muzzle. The stock has minor dings, dents, and scratches throughout and a more significant gouge on the left side. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling.
