9/12/17- This is a Walther PP made in the Zella-Mehlis factory before WW2. It has been refinished in a dull "wash" of some kind - almost like a Russian dip. It is hard to read but I believe the slide and frame are matching. The frame is has crown/N proof but then additionally Eagle/N proofed. Also the barrel has a double Eagle/N proof. Slide has only Crown/N. Only explanation I can give is that the gun was issued pre-war and then sent back to the factory during the war for a barrel replacement. The grips are wooden with a walther banner, and the magazine is post war production. The bore is very nice with no major issues. The signal indicator pin is stuck in the out position, but when you push on it, the spring is good so this is most likely an easy fix. No import marks.
