1/8/18 - This a a scarce ANIB Walther PPK(not PPK/S!), made in 1978, stamped with a HI date code on the right side. After 1968, PPKs were no longer importable into the US. However, military personnel stationed overseas and law enforcement personnel could still import one of these, as it was a popular "back up" gun. Very few were imported, until BATF put a stop to the practice. It is estimated that under a thousand made it in to the country, all dated 1978 or 1979, and chambered in .380 acp(9mm Kurz). This gun appears to be unused and unfired, and comes with a matching box, test target, cleaning rod, manual, extra magazine and even a warranty card. It is marked West Germany, and has original black grips, that are esthetically more pleasing than the standard brown grips of the 1960s era. A mint set that would be impossible to upgrade!
