6/18/21 - This is an excellent example of a scarce DWM Model 1900 Luger, manufactured in 1901-02. These pistols were the true first commercial contract Luger pistols produced by DWM and can be found in the 2000-19000 serial number range, with this specific pistol being an earlier production pistol. These pistols were specifically intended for sales in the U.S. market, which is why "GERMANY" is marked on the front of frame under the serial number. It has early features such as the dish toggles and trigger safety. It is all matching and has the proper "Crown B U G" proofs. It has retained about 96% of its original finish. There is somewhat scratchy wear on the front strap and hints of wear on the side plate, side rails, and around the muzzle. Comes with nice period-correct grips (small bruise on the left side) and a period-correct un-numbered magazine. The bore has good rifling with minor pin-pricking throughout.
