3/11/25 - This is an excellent example of a scarce WB-marked Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1942. The slide is numbered and matching. It is "United States Property" marked and has "WB" inspector initials. "Colt 45 Auto" barrel with a large "G" under the lug. The gun has retained about 96-97% of its original finish with very minor general high edge wear. Fitted with period-correct reddish-brown plastic grips and comes with an "L" marked magazine. Minty bore. Comes with Colt archive letter stating this gun was shipped to Springfield Armory in June of 1942.
