5/16/23 - This is a nice example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The bolt is mismatched (crude, last-ditch style), and the Imperial mum stamp on the receiver has been ground. The metal parts have retained most of their original finish. However, there is brown patina and light spotty oxidation covering virtually all of the metal parts. The wood shows obvious signs of use and wear, and there is hairline crack around the wrist of the stock. Mint bore.
