3/28/17 - This is a nice example of a PP variation getting harder to find! It is considered a "factory" variation as they were ordered and marked directly from the Walther factory. The RJ on the front strap is the distinct characteristic and the marking is under the original bluing. This gun was made in 1939 or 40. The original finish is about 95%, with some edge/muzzle wear on the slide, and some finish loss on the bottom of the back strap. Minty bore. It has the correct weighted grips and original magazine. Eagle N proofs are correctly found on the frame, slide , and barrel. RJ PP's were issued to the "Reichs Bureau of Justice", or in other words, the courts, judges, guards, etc. Probably rarely used other than annual "qualifying trials".
