SOLD - WW2 Colt M1911A1 - 1942

4/5/17 - This is a WW2 era Colt M1911A1, in all original configuration.  The serial number dates this pistol to 1942, and is supported by the proper inspectors proof (WB) for this year.  The original finish is maybe 93-94%, with only minor edge wear and thinning in general, though there is one noticeable spot of finish loss on the right side of the slide near the ejection port.  Proper barrel is Colt .45 auto/P proofed.  Bore is a little frosted but has nice grooves and is generally clean.  Mag is marked 'Colt .45 Auto' on the bottom of base plate.
