9/25/20 - This is a Colt 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. The gun has a "US Property" marking and the proper cross-canon military cartouche on the tang. Overall, the gun is in nice condition, retaining about 85% of its priginal finish. The most noticeable wear is thinning on the entire underside of the frame, especially on the front strap. There is very minor muzzle and high edge wear. There is spotty wear along the length of the top of the slide. There are also a few other small spots of wear near the trigger guard. Comes with excellent grips and one period-correct magazine. The bore has nice rifling with minor freckling throughout. Colt barrel with small "F" under lug. A very nice example of a WW2 issued and used sidearm.
