9/2/21 - This is an excellent example of a WW1-era, military Mauser C-96. It is chambered for 30 caliber, not 9mm. It has Crown N proofs on the gun along with a Prussian Eagle military stamp on the bottom of the frame. The stock is matching, original, and numbered to the gun. It has some bumps and hairline cracks, but they do not appear go all the way through. The stock has faint military proof as well. This rig comes with excellent leather harness, dated 1916 and maker marked. It also comes with the original cleaning rod. The gun itself is all-matching. The finish is original. We'd rate it about 96%. Most of the finish loss is very minor high-edge wear. The small parts still have lots of fire bluing in tact. The grips are matching to the gun. The minor draw-back for this rig is the "trench art" on the bottom of the right grip. The bore is dark but strong rifling. These are becoming difficult to find in this condition. C&R eligible.
