5/24/17 - This is a German Army issued gun for WW1. First manufactured in 1913. It was reworked after the war in 1920. I don't see signs that it went to the police so perhaps it was sold in the commercial market between the wars, but there is no "Germany" marking or any other import marks. The finish looks original to 1913 OR 1920, and rates at about 90% with the majority of the wear on the straps. The straw color is almost completely gone. The parts are all matching and Erfurt proofed. This includes the hold open and firing pin. The grips are Erfurt proofed and numbered 56. The grips are worn but the wear would seem to match the wear on the gun. The bore is worn about the same, but would still rate a 6 out of 10. There is no lug stock on this gun, which would be correct for a 1913 Erfurt.
